Flavonoids based diet

A study suggests, consumption of food with Flavonoids (plant nutrients) found in fruit, vegetables, chocolate, and beverages such as red wine and tea; has been linked to fewer deaths by PD. Consuming flavonoids even before the diagnosis of PD, seems to have reduced the risk of death. Expert opinion suggests that adopting a healthy diet could slow disease progression and increase survival rates.

45 x 3 x 6 is the formula

Regular exercise enhances the brain function of Parkinson's disease patients. Exercise improves the relationships between various brain regions and prevents brain shrinkage. Control over movement can also be improved in patients by cycling. Patients who cycled for 45 minutes 3 times a week for 6 months, showed immense improvement. Researchers have noticed that patients who are physically active, brain networks linking regions that have been comparatively spared by PD are stronger.

In people with early Parkinson's disease, a new study shows that a customized three-month boxing training program effectively reduced both motor and non-motor symptoms, such as pain, depression, anxiety, and sleep issues.
